Early renewal of recuring plan

Is it possible to allow early renewal of a recurring plan (using Stripe)?
It would be useful to allow users to renew early i.e extend their membership, at a promotional price.

For recurring subscription, renewal could not be renewed early. For example, if someone subscribes for a monthly subscription plan, the renewal will happen every month, not earlier

Is it possible to request this feature and/or maybe fund the development of it as an plugin/core feature?
I think it should be possible to do as Membership pro already has the ability to extend a subscription so it would charge the user a one time fee then extend the subscription by the correct amount.
Forgive me if it is not this simple

For recurring subscription, the payment amount and duration is registered with payment gateway at the time users sign up, it is not easy to change it.

So this is quite complicated or even not possible
