a 'spit' is a rod upon which savory food was roasted, turned in ancient times by a worker called a 'jack', a middle English word for an ordinary laborer (eg jack of all trades, steeplejack, lumberjack). Today, this job is usually referred to as a 'pitmaster'.

What would cause this situaton? Most donations receved get stamped 'Paid" but a few do not. The donations in the screen shot were made only a few minutes apart. The only payment option we use is Stripe, though what I expect to be a field with a pre-selected radio button only has a red asterisk.

Hi,
With the "Not paid" donation records, i am not sure if the donors already made the payment yet. if Yes, we need to check the status of the Payment Webhook url to see the issue in Joom Donation side.
Thanks
Dam

Some are marked as paid, some are not. Perhaps the 'pending' are those that don;t have logged in accounts, but paid anonymously. Perhaps they can't be confirmed with a round-trip notification from Stripe? The only issue is that the Stripe dashboard is accurate, but the JD admin in Joomla is not, as these donations aren't tabulated.

Hi,
You mean that payments appear on Stripe Dashboard, but in Joom Donation, the donation records are still pending?
Thanks

It happened many times in 2023 - some of those tests during troubleshooting - but only a couple times in 2024. The item here, #182, cleared in Stripe. Maybe the transaction number provides a clue? The user was not logged in. As you can see, newer items came through OK.

It's strange, because this problem occurs so rarely and infrequently, it is difficult to find the cause. I will spend more time on JD Stripe to find possible causes of this problem.
