Ordering of page showing past events was created by Alison
Hi Tuan
I have created a page where I want to show events lists showing both past and future events.
I want the oldest date to show at the bottom and the newest date to show at the top
i.e.
This is the menu item using categories-Columns layout www.dorset-aptc.gov.uk/training-events/area-committees
If you then click into the Eastern Area Committee page this is where I want it ordered with the newest date first.
Can this be done ?
I do not want it to affect the order of events on other pages in other categories.
Thanks
Alison

Hmm
On that page, I do not see any events ? I want to know what menu item type you are using to be able to give you instructions
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
It is the child pages of this. So from the page I have given if you click into the Eastern Area Committee it takes you to
www.dorset-aptc.gov.uk/training-events/a...stern-area-committee
This is the child page with the event dates on.

Hello
This is configurable in the menu item parameters. Please edit the menu item and set:
- Order By to Event Date
- Order Direction to DESC
Then check it again. It should work as expected

HI Tuan
That will not work because I am using Categories-Columns layout and not Category-Columns-Layout - there is no sort button in Categories..... menu items becuase the events do not show on the main page, they only show once the category is clicked.
Is there any way I can sort the order of the evnets in child pages off a Categories-Column-Layout page? (If there is not then I will have to create a menu item for each category)
Thanks

Hi Alison
For this, please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, Events section, set Order Direction to DESC
Then check it again. It should work for your need
